9 months & 12 days later Brysen FINALLY said momma!! Words can't even explain how excited I {was &} AM!
A {very long/detailed}Story on how it happened: I have tried and tried to get him to say MOM but he just wouldn't do it. I would say it to him numerous times a day, dad would say it, I would even whisper it in his ear when he was sleeping, but no matter how hard I tried he just wouldn't say MOM.
And then this magical day arrived. I was in the kitchen cooking dinner {chicken tacos, yum yum}, Brysen {aka lil John} was chilling on the couch watching Nascar with grandpa John {hence the name lil John}& grandma Barb was in bed {no we do not eat dinner after 8pm, she just likes her bed a LOT}. So gpa John watches Nascar like he is in a movie theater, so you can rarely hear a word, but I could hear Brysen faintly babbling at the remote control {I am pretty sure he was saying something like, If gpa would let me I would SO be eating this remote right now, I wonder if he would catch me if I just quickly place it in my mouth...}
Anyways, I holler to gpa that dinner is ready and he {finally} lowers the volume to the TV and shouts MOM {that is what he calls gma, his wife} get out of bed, dinner is ready. So a minute or two goes by and he shouts MOM again. And next thing I hear Brysen is saying momamama, momamama. For a minute I thought I was hearing things, so I walked into the front room and asked gpa if Brysen said Mom, and he said thats what I was wondering {It has been a big deal in the house working to get him to say momma, even the g-parentals were involved}. So I tell Gpa to shout MOM {to gma} again, and not seconds after he shouts MOM Brysen says momamama.
I didn't know if I should celebrate or cry! Talk about tearing at the Heart strings. I was ecstatic! Needless to say he now says MOMMA!!!!! And I LOVE it!!!
Side Note: Brysen has been saying Dada since he was around 6 months old. He started saying baba (bottle) around 7 months & byebye {with a wave if you are lucky} about a month ago.
**Kyler & Jaelin are now competing to see which of their names will be spoken first, crazy kids**
