Kyler's Family Birthday Party!

Sunday we celebrated Kyler's birthday with Family! I made spaghetti dinner & had cake! It was very uneventful, but fun to just visit with family and not have to worry about entertaining.

Kyler had only asked for money for his birthday. He has finally decided he wants to buy an ipod touch. Currently him & Jaelin fight over mine all day, so this will give him his own. Kyler made bank from his grandparents (he has tons of them). He got a total of $112 from his family party, $45 from his friend party and already had $84.58 in his savings account at the bank. He is SO excited that he can now buy the ipod, and he will still have a little bit of money left over.

Due to the fact that I was extremely exhausted and our house was hot as sin (our AC is going out AGAIN) I only took 2 pics.

I was happy to see that Kyler was up to having a party still. He woke up Sunday morning with a fever of 102.3. I tried to cancel the party but he was insistent about having it. Luckily his fever broke and he is back to being himself.

Happy 7th Birthday Kyler!!!

Kyler invited a couple of his school buddies over for a pool party, but sadly our pool looked like a swamp so we decided to take the kids to the park for a water balloon fight. They went through 200 water balloons in less then 5 minutes. So I asked the kids what they wanted to do next and Kyler said "get muddy in the river!" All the boys got excited, so to the river we went. After the river we took them back to our house set up the slip & slide, covered it in dish soap and let them "clean off!"
Here are a couple pictures from his birthday party!

I am SO happy that Kyler had such a great day with his lil buddies! This year all he asked for is money. He is saving up for something "big." (not sure what that is yet) Every time his piggy bank has a little bit of money in it he begs me to take him to the bank to make a deposit. He is doing so awesome, and I love that he is learning to save his money!

Kyler, you mean the world to me. Every day I am SO thankful for the amazing doctor who saved your life and let me raise you on this earth. You are an amazing little boy and grow stronger each day. You have developed so many new skills and you knowledge for things astounds me. I love that you care for your sister, and fight with her too. I love the moments when you sit there and talk about Brody and how much you are like him. I love that you are such a boy, but have no problems playing dress up with your sister. Most of all I am so happy that you are mine.

Last of all I love your random questions and thoughts. The other day while driving you asked me what Brody was. I didn't understand your question so you said, "You know mom, was he black or mexican or what?" I couldn't help but laugh by your pure innocence in this question. I told you he was white just like you and you responded "How am I supposed to know I didn't meet him, but I will one day right mom?"

Happy 2nd Birthday!

To my cute little nephews. I love you two SO much! Through every trial in life you have grown to be the cutest, most spoiled twins I know! But I wouldn't trade you for the WORLD!

Father's Day

Due to the weekend wedding (prior post) we were really hoping for the opportunity to sleep in on Sunday morning. The kids' had a different idea.

6:48 Sunday morning I can hear whispering at the foot of the bed, but I thought if I pretended not to hear them they would just go watch tv. That was not the case. The kids (mostly Kyler) had prepared breakfast for their dad. They were SO excited to give him his toast and milk, and the card Kyler had made for him at Summer school.

The kids' were full of delight as they watched their dad choke down his very dry toast, and attempt to drink milk. Tony is NOT a milk drinker, never has been. The best part was the toast hardly had any butter on it, so it was very dry. That goes back to Mother's Day, when the kids' made me toast for breakfast. There was SO much butter on it that is all I could taste. So we told Kyler to only put a little butter on the toast, hence we now get dried toast.

All in all it was the perfect start for Father's Day. Though I successfully only got 6.5 hours asleep, how can you be upset over such a kind gesture from your kids'.

After we got up, cleaned up the house, packed food we headed out for a Sunday drive with some of Tony's family. WOW the was one LONG and rough ride. The roads were so washed out, but it was absolutely beautiful up there. After a long 8 hour drive I was happy to be home, showered and off to bed.

Cute little Cabin we found!

Beautiful mountain scenery

Most importantly I should say how much I TRULY love my husband and all he does for our family. I am also blessed to have 2 amazing dads who I know would do anything in their powers for me if needed. They have both been a huge part of my life in different aspects and I love them for it.

Wedding...

What a long, fun, beautiful day it was for Michelle & Scott! Through the stress and the fun it was a beautiful success.

Friday we had the opportunity to meet Scott's children. Scott has 4 girls, and 1 boy, ranging in age from 4-17. It was a fun time and they are some very fun and beautiful kids. I loved hanging out with the girls, getting to know them.

Here are some of the fun moments from the wedding:

The wedding cake

The wedding cake was the funniest/saddest part of the entire weekend. Michelle & Scott had picked up the wedding cake in Mesquite on Friday at noon, but it was never refrigerated. So by 8pm, when we attempted to deliver it to the wedding location, it was so hot the jelly just separated the cake in half. I felt for Michelle, you could tell she wanted to cry. So me, Tara, Savannah, Lacie, and Kaitlynn headed to Walmart & Costco in hopes to find a replacement cake. Unfortunately we had no luck but Scott & Michele were able to talk to a manager at Lynn's grocery store and they were able to have one made & delivered in 12 hour time. It was a great laugh, and a YUMMY cake! (we got to enjoy it Friday night for dessert!!!!)

What a great weekend filled with fun & tears! Congratulations Michelle & Scott! I am very excited to get to know all of Scott's kids!

Summer Fun and School!

Kyler's 1st grade teacher had recommended Summer School to help Kyler with his reading. He is reading right on schedule for his grade, however he has no interest at all so our hope is that this will help him get more motivated.

So far Kyler is enjoying summer school. They rotate between teachers (from what I understand) and they do reading, math & computer time.

Summer Fun! The heat has been crazy and having a pool right out the backyard is a huge relief. The kids love having friends over to splash around with them! Next week both Jaelin & Kyler will start the Bunkerville Rec Program for the summer. I am SO excited for Jaelin to get some interaction with kids prior to Kindergarten.

Here are a couple Summer Fun pictures!

It's a Girl!

Once I was done with my doctors appointment I called the hubby to let him now. His first response was "They are wrong, it's a boy." (Neither of us really cared what the sex of the baby was, but if this little girl is anything like Jaelin we wont live long.)

Tony let me tell the kids, and I told Jaelin first. As soon as I told her she yelled "Kyler, haha mom's baby is a girl, not a boy!" Then Kyler gets on the phone and asks me if Jaelin was lying. I was shocked that he really isn't that bummed about a sister, I thought he would be more upset then he was.

All in all we are excited. Baby is looking good, and measuring right on schedule.
Here are some pics from the last ultrasound! The first pic is of her face and belly! The second picture is showing between her legs. Don't be confused, that is the umbilical cord, not a boy toy.
